I have been a lifestyle reportage photographer for 11 years; at the time this style of photography was most definitely in its infancy, whereas now it is the preferred option. I am currently one of the few photographers who can call myself ‘truly journalistic’. I have not had to adapt to cater for the shift in consumer taste, as I have only ever photographed in this style and it is my expertise in composition, eye for detail and speed of candid work for which I am booked.

My earliest memories of photography during childhood are not of family snaps, but of magazines and newspapers – I was always drawn to images with impact that really conveyed a story. An eye for composition developed and I discovered that I had a knack for taking ‘spur of the moment’ photographs – this, combined with my love of people-watching, led me to pursue a career in journalistic photography.
